Essential Job Functions: 1.Collaborates with the Budget Analyst II of KPCOM and the Office of Sponsored Programs.

2. Oversees the activities, training and initiatives related to the federal grants that generate income.

3. Assists the Principal investigator and Project Directors in the monitoring of accounts and the projections of future spending.

4. Monitors the budget of the Institute for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness (IDEP).

5. Assists the office of Sponsored Programs with the creation of sponsored project budgets and budget justifications in accordance with the P.I.s and department/school administrators.

6. Monitors all federal grants, grant expenditures, and reconcile budgets on an ongoing basis providing monthly reports to PI's and PD (Project Directors). Initiate corrections as required.

7. Provides recommendations and guidance in resolving grant related issue with the P.I.s and P.D.'s.

8. Serves as liaison between research sponsors and university units on all budget related issues.

9. Works closely with the Budget Analyst II of KPCOM, and the office of Sponsored Programs when reviewing expenses for schedule reporting to the sponsoring agencies.

10. Trains and assists staff in the federal grants on financial issue related to their programs and activities.

11. Maintains financial records and documentation; ensure data integrity and keep confidential information secure.

12. Assists the P.I. in ensuring that all grant expenditures are in accordance with policy regulations and law.

13. Maintains accounting record of training materials and office supplies.

14. Assists with the creation of project budgets, budget justifications, re-budgeting and carry-over requests.

15. Submits payment for all parties to the grant, including entering payments into Ariba. This includes subcontractor and consultant invoices, grant-related travel and training reimbursements.

16. Creates and monitors execution of all contracts for the grants and create amendments as necessary.

17. Maintains the IDEP and grant websites.

18. Prepares and submits all necessary financial data to the Office of Sponsored Programs and sponsoring agencies, including all quarterly and annual reports.

19. Oversees the HAZMIRTSI project's implementation, progress, and evaluation. This includes the oversight of all subcontracted parties, marketers, and trainers.

20. Performs other duties as assigned.

4. Ability to multi-task.

5. Mastery of Microsoft Word.
