Essential Job Functions: This position is contingent on the availability and continuation of external-funding and/or contract. As such, any offer of employment may be withdrawn or employment ended in the event the external funding and/or contract ceases or is reduced.

1. Administer and supervise assigned areas of athletics activity which relates to public relations, communication, community outreach and fundraising.

2. Select and hire athletic department employees as well as coaches for all sports offered by University School.

3. Oversee, plan for and manage the appropriate use of facilities, transportation, equipment, etc., for all sports.

4. Create and manage the process of preparing University School athletes to participate in varsity sports at the collegiate level; work in liaison with University School College Counseling Office.

5. Manage the planning process and development of new athletic programs at the school.

6. Assist with supervision and guidance of student-athletes, coaches, volunteers and athletic department staff.

7. Initiate, plan and manage events designed to boost general school spirit.

8. Assume leadership and management of the athletic department in the absence of the Middle & Upper School Athletic Directors.

9. Keep Athletic Department up-to-date with all FHSAA compliance's and membership requirements.

10. Work in conjunction with all division directors, as a representative of athletics, to coordinate the master calendar for the school year.

11. Coordinate and manage the following operational procedures: athletic merchandise & apparel procedures, Sun Spot procedures, game day concession & gate procedures, volunteer procedures, fundraising procedures, media guide procedures and money handling procedures.

12. Assist in planning and managing Athletic Council, team parent volunteers and fundraising opportunities.

13. Research, plan and implement fundraising strategies.

14. Create essential documents and presentations pertinent to athletic policies, procedures and endeavors.

15. Organize and develop promotional, materials such as media guides and other publications.

16. Website management for scheduling, directions, updates, team rosters, scores, announcements and any pertinent information regarding University School Athletics.

17. Confirm games with opposing teams and post schedule on to C2C (FHSAA game scheduling system).

18. Coordinate and conduct district meeting for each required sport.

19. Plan, coordinate and conduct seasonal pep rallies, as well as announce games when needed.

20. Serve as the coordinator/manager of district and regional tournaments/games hosted by University School.

21. Keep an accurate account and archive of all sport teams' roster, records, statistics and accolades.

22. Compile reports for all divisions and directors regarding participation statistics, seasonal achievements and accolades.

22. Work in conjunction with University School Advancement Office regarding all media publications and public relations purposes.

23. Assist in general office work.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. Serve as a member of the coaching staff.

2. May be responsible for teaching assignments in Middle or Upper School.

3. Superior communication skills including written and oral expression.

4. Understanding of principles of marketing and fundraising.

5. Broad background and understanding of the rules and regulations governing athletics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. High degree of computer literacy.

2. Organizational skills.

3. Self-motivated, self-starter who represents the Athletic Department and University School in a positive manner.

4. Position requires the ability to work independently, as well as others.

Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) year coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
