Essential Job Functions: 1. Administers Point of Sale (POS) systems; coordinates Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and training; and administers/monitors information flow.

2. Serves as backup/apprentice and assists Electronic Payment Coordinator.

3. Performs journal entry duties.

4. Provides general support for Financial Operations.

5. Assists in the administration and communication of policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance with PCI and Automated Clearing House (ACH) University wide.

6. Assists with monitoring, managing, and reconciling University-wide online payment system.

7. Serves as backup to establish new University merchant accounts and train and counsel employees responsible for daily account maintenance.

8. Assists with implementation and maintenance of POS Systems throughout the University.

9. Assists as an information resource to other departments University wide for merchant operations.

10. Assists with development and ongoing testing / tracking of TouchNet Equipment for PCI Compliance.

11. Assists with the maintenance of individual assigned bank accounts; and on special projects.

12. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Marginal Job Functions:  
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to communicate orally and effectively in English, without the use of an interpreter.

2. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language without the use of auxiliary aids or services.

3. Knowledge of accounting practices.

4. General knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).

5. Communication skills to deal appropriately with varied publics: staff, supervisory, outside agencies, auditors and internal departments.

Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. High School diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of merchant operations experience,


Associate's degree or 60 credit hours and one (1) year of merchant operations experience.

2. Previous credit card processing experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Treasury operations and/or related field.
