Job Title: Assistant Director – RecPlex Facilities and Business Operations - 993542

Essential Job Functions: 1. Oversees the recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling of the RecPlex operational staff including but not limited to, facility supervisors, facility attendants, climbing wall facilitators, and membership team.

2. Oversees and schedules RecPlex space utilization requests.

3. Serves as a liaison to other university offices and support services in matters involving both daily and long-term facilities and business management including but not limited to Public Safety, Physical Plant, Facilities Management, Card Services, and Business Services.

4. Oversees RecPlex financial operations to include cash revenue deposits, reconciliation and verification of said deposits, and working with the University finance office in ensuring accuracy of revenue deposits and providing designated reports.

5. Develops and implements strategic initiatives to recruit new memberships to NSU RecPlex, as well as initiatives to retain existing members. achieves and delivers annual RecPlex membership revenue goals as assigned.

6. Oversees and supervises the processing and tracking of RecPlex membership applications and payments to include monthly recurring billing, payroll deductions, member cancellations, and delinquent member accounts. Follows-up on new member queries and existing member disputes.

7. Coordinates and oversees departmental marketing and communication initiatives to include print media, social media, and e-mail.

8. Supervises student marketing team.

9. Completes special projects as assigned.

10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. Be on-call and available to respond to facility emergencies as required.

2. Work early mornings (5 a.m.), late nights (10 p.m.), weekends, and holidays as required.

3. Assists in supporting fitness centers at NSU Regional Campuses.

4. Keeps up to date on current trends in business and facilities management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of recreational programs, services and facilities.
2. Knowledge in leading training of staff.

5. Management of Financial Resources - Basic skills in determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.

1. Written Comprehension & Expression - The ability to read, understand, and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
2. Oral Comprehension & Expression - The ability to listen to, understand, and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences so others will understand.
3. Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
1. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.
2. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
3. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
4. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
5. May be required to work nights or weekends.
6. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
7. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards.

Required Experience: Minimum three (3) years of progressive facility and operations experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree supplemented by two (2) years of progressive facility and operations experience.
