Essential Job Functions: 1. Acts as the patient registrar according to the clinics established policies such as verifying demographics and insurance information, and providing patient support to ensure optimal patient service.

2. Reviews data in clinical information systems to ensure accuracy.

3. Receives and processes payments from patients according to the clinics established policies and procedures to ensure optimal revenue collection.

4. Enters/Reviews diagnoses and procedures codes into the clinical information systems; receives and process payments; performs daily operations and end of day closing procedures including financial transactions to ensure accuracy and optimal revenue collection.

5. Schedules patient appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and business operations.

6. Schedules and reserve therapy rooms.

7. Prepares charts for new client intakes.

8. Responds to informational inquiries from the public and other agencies.

9. Answers telephone, route calls appropriately and distributes messages in a timely manner.

10. Secures records, cash boxes and locks office at the end of the day.

11. Attends and participates in staff meetings, compliance training programs, and scheduled in-service training programs.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

1. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of the job duties.

2. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.

Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. High School Diploma and one(1) year of customer service/administrative experience in an office environment.

OR

2. Associate's Degree and six (6) months of customer service/administrative experience in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associate's Degree.

2. Six (6) months of heath care experience.

3. Experience with Electronic Medical Record system.

4. Multi-lingual
