Essential Job Functions: 1. Facilitates communication between the clinical end users, providers, support staff and the Clinical Informatics team members, OIIT support staff, consultants, and vendors.

2. Meets with users to gather system requirements for analysis and interpretation.

3. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures related to products supported may require change.

4. Interacts with present and potential internal customers to ensure timely and proper resolution of problems and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

5. Ensures that all problems brought to his or her attention are logged, worked on or assigned for resolution, prioritized and tracked.

6. Promptly notifies leadership of all high impact clinical systems issues as they occur, and regularly updates them as needed.

7. Functions as one of the system administrators for all electronic records applications.

8. Contributes to improve data dictionaries and templates.

9. Positively contributes to teamwork through appropriate application of process, technical, and information management expertise.

10. Participates in professional development activities.

11. Assist in preparing training manuals.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions: Must be available to work nights and weekends as necessary, on availability on rotation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of NextGEN and/or axiUm applications.

2. Knowledge of NextGEN applications, including EHR, EPM, and ICS.

3. Knowledge of AxiUm dental health system.

4. Knowledge of CIS software sufficient to collect and interpret data.

5. Knowledge of descriptive statistics to analyze statistical data and prepare extracts of data on CIS.

6. Knowledge of computer accounting systems, spreadsheets and applications.

7. Skill in extracting and analyzing data.

8. Skilled in preparing documents for training.

9. Skilled in writing correspondence and utilize good grammar.

10. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

11. Ability to organize, coordinate and deliver training sessions.

12. Ability to prepare and make effective presentations.
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: Associate's Degree or 60 College credits
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. Two (2) years of experience in Clinical Informatics, IT, or Healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Extensive knowledge of NextGEN applications, including EHR, EPM, and ICS.

2. Extensive knowledge of AxiUm dental health system.

3. Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Informatics preferred.
