Essential Job Functions: 1. Uses the computer in the analysis and solution of business problems, such as improving processes, automating workflows, or optimizing facility scheduling.

2. Evaluates sources of information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.

3. Utilizes programming language (e.g., SQL, python, etc.) to extract and manipulate data from Banner and other data sources.

4. Utilizes RStudio and other types of software to load and manipulate large datasets.

5. Utilizes RStudio and other types of software to edit/produce reports for weekly enrollment and annual surveys.

6. Utilizes pivot tables in Excel for raw data consumption.

7. Develops and implements processes and reports to audit data quality, ensure accuracy, and increase productivity.

8. Locates and corrects data entry errors or reports them to supervisors.

9. Collaborates with other college units (e.g., Business Intelligence team, Enrollment Management) to identify fields and processes for transforming internal ad-hoc reports/queries into standard reports used by other units.

10. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.

11. Reports results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables.

12. Files data and related information and maintains/updates databases.

13. Retrieves, separates, and sorts program output as needed, and sends data to specified users.

14. Works as part of the IR team by participating in the publication of data or information.

15. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

1. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
2. Knowledge of Banner modules (e.g., Student)
3. Knowledge of RStudio and RMarkdown
4. Knowledge of computer language (SQL, R, etc.)
5. Knowledge of Excel and pivot tables

1. Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
2. Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
3. Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
4. Computer Software/Programming - a. Able to pull data and build reports in R Markdown and R Studio b. Experience with Banner and related tables from the student module to extract and transform data c. Able to conduct data extractions and transformations using SQL or similar programming language.

Physical Requirements:

1. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
2. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.
3. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
4. May be required to work nights or weekends.
5. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
6. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards.

Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in an academic or research environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master’s Degree
2. Experience using Banner ERP, R Markdown, RStudio, SQL or similar programming language.
