Primary Purpose:
Supports the Office of Military Affairs by leading outreach and partnership development efforts to increase awareness of NSU programs and support enrollment growth among military-connected students. Builds and maintains relationships with military installations, veteran-serving organizations, and community partners, and serves as a key external representative of NSU. Coordinates programs, events, and initiatives that promote engagement, student success, and community collaboration.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Executes outreach strategies targeting military installations, veteran-serving organizations, and community partners in support of enrollment goals and partnership development initiatives.
2. Serves as a primary point of contact for military engagement efforts and maintains relationships with military education offices, commands, Transition Assistance Programs (TAP), and veteran-serving organizations.
3. Represents NSU at military installations, education fairs, and community events to promote academic programs, services, and military-affiliated initiatives.
4. Identifies, develops, and supports partnership opportunities that create sustainable enrollment pipelines and enhance community engagement.
5. Provides guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, admissions processes, and basic VA educational benefits.
6. Collaborates with Admissions, academic colleges, and internal stakeholders to support outreach, recruitment, and enrollment initiatives.
7. Tracks outreach activities, partnership engagement, and prospective student interactions; prepares reports and analyzes trends and outcomes.
8. Supports the promotion and implementation of Military Affairs initiatives and pipeline programs, including the Military Affairs Academic Program (MAAP) and Military-to-Medicine (M2M).
9. Coordinates outreach and event logistics, including travel arrangements, event planning, materials preparation, vendor coordination, follow-up communications, and related expense management in accordance with university policies and procedures.
10. Supports the Director in the planning and execution of programs, events, and outreach initiatives and serves as a backup in the Director’s absence.
11. Provides operational support to the Veterans Resource Center as needed.
12. Completes special projects as assigned.
13. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in outreach, recruitment, admissions, military programs, or partnership development.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior military service (Veteran, National Guard, or Reserve).
2. Experience working with military-connected populations in outreach, education, or program support roles (e.g., military installations, education services, veteran-serving organizations, or higher education)
