Primary Purpose:

Supports the high volume of on-campus and virtual visitors by creating innovative ideas to enhance the in-person and virtual visit experiences; assists with data analytics and maintains a culture of world class customer service amongst our student tour guides. Additionally, this position works with the office of undergraduate admissions to meet its enrollment goals.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Provides support in the planning and execution of the University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions Campus Visit experiences.

2. Maintains a high level of customer service with prospective students and their families, student employees, faculty, and staff.

3. Assists in managing operations to ensure continuous improvement of student services that increase admissions applications and enrollment.

4. Acts as liaison between students, faculty, college and university departments.

5. Coordinates on campus group visit experiences including setup, room reservations, and audiovisual setup.

6. Assists in the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of student employees and graduate assistant.

7. Contacts prospective students to present information and/or explain available programs and services.

8. Creates and monitors monthly presentation calendar on a regular basis.

9. Maintains accurate and complete records of campus visitor attendance.

10. Coordinates post-visit communication plan to campus visitors.

11. Utilizes enrollment management databases to enter campus visit data.

12. Maintains or monitors departmental and/or program websites.

13. Develops and produces marketing materials promoting campus visit experiences.

14. Generates reports to ensure timely information is available for management use.

15. Manages evaluation and assessment efforts related to the campus visit experience and events and other departmental initiatives; utilizes results for ongoing improvement.

16. Stays current with trends and best practices for visit experience programs and student leadership development.

17. Provides feedback and recommendations to management regarding recruiting strategies, customer service, communications, and/or recruitment programs.

18. Completes special projects as assigned.

19. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
1. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.

4. May be required to work nights or weekends.
5. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.

7. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, mobile devices, and computer keyboards.

Required Certifications/Licensures: Valid Driver’s License

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in event planning, student development, or closely related area.

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Campus Visit Program experience in higher education.
2. Experience in program development, implementation, and assessment.
3. Experience organizing logistical aspects of events.
