Primary Purpose:

The faculty member is responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the doctoral clinical psychology programs and providing consultation in child psychology related areas for faculty and students. Additionally a track record of potential to secure external funding to support research is desirable.
Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Hiring Range: 

Pay Basis:  Annually

Subject to Grant Funding? No  

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Teaches core clinical psychology courses in the doctoral programs or others as assigned.
2. Provides clinical supervision in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology as assigned by the Chair.
3. Maintains an active research program, including developing peer-reviewed publications.
4. Mentors doctoral students in research.
5. Provides expertise in child psychology related areas.
6. Creates a climate conducive to learning.
7. Participates in department wide activities such as faculty meetings, assessment, dissertations/directed studies, etc. as assigned.
8. Contributes to appropriate NSU and College committees, and professional associations.
9. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Department Chair and/or Dean.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or License eligible in the state of Florida.

Required Education: Doctoral Degree

Major (if required: Clinical Psychology or related field

Required Experience: 1. University teaching experience.
2. Psychological research.
3. Evidence of scholarly productivity.
