Offers high quality program activities to youth development programs funded by The Children's Trust throughout Miami-Dade County.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Provides high-quality coaching to certified teachers and youth workers including the use of assessments, effective observation and content-specific feedback, and other coaching skills.
2. Guides certified teachers and youth workers through creating lesson plans, differentiating instruction, and analyzing data both in-person and online.
3. Assists in coordinating and documenting recruitment efforts.
4. Co-facilitates trainings, online discussions, and peer learning opportunities in the areas of literacy, fitness, classroom management, social-emotional learning (SEL), differentiated instruction, and other teaching strategies as needed.
5. Creates appropriate coaching resources as needed.
6. Familiar with Coaching Competency and/or other funder-required tools.
7. Reliable in and uses all required assessment tools.
8. Works on professional development plan for continuous quality improvement.
9. Maintains accurate and timely coaching documentation and ensures files are stored appropriately.
10. Conducts follow-up coaching as needed.
11. Collaborates with Project RISE colleagues, external consultants, and partners on program innovations as needed.
12. Attends and participates in staff meetings and training programs.
13. Attends training on innovative strategies in the afterschool setting as needed.
14. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of literacy, fitness, classroom management, differentiated instruction, and/or child and adolescent development.
2. Effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers and other instructional staff.
3. Ability to effectively interact with a different populations and exhibit sound judgment and maturity in dealing with the public.
4. Ability to work and cooperate with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.
5. Superior written and oral skills.
6. Computer literate, Microsoft Suite competence.
7. Excellence organizational skills.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Four (4) to seven (7) years of classroom teaching experience OR experience with afterschool programs
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
2. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
3. Certified Teacher or School/Clinical/Educational Psychology/Related Field advanced trainees (MA or MS).
4. Experience with coaching and intervention in the afterschool, or summer settings.
5. Experience designing and facilitating trainings and other learning opportunities.
6. Expertise in K-5 literacy.
7. Knowledge of youth development, and/or social & emotional learning (SEL).
