Primary Purpose:
Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Performs and completes assigned side work tasks for opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operation of services.
2. Provides immediate attention to members and guests upon arrival to ensure quality dining experience.
3. Processes food and beverage checks daily for payment to ensure accurate reconciliation.
4. Coordinates food service involving communication between the kitchen and other staff to ensure prompt and accurate service.
5. Follows sanitation requirements, safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures as sanctions to ensure compliance with all state, local and Club laws.
6. Fills water glasses with iced water while guests decided on their order; answers questions and suggests menu items; recites soup dujour and chef's special to members and guests.
7. Takes members' and guests' orders.
8. Turns orders into kitchen; tells cooks about any special requests and cooking instructions.
9. Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
10. Provides immediate attention and service to members and guests to ensure a quality dining experience. Places dishes by course in front of each person; serves from the left of each person.
11. Checks back from time to time to ensure members or guests' satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
12. Removes soiled dishes when members and guests are finished eating.
13. Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, etc.
14. Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and all other charges on their checks.
15. Presents the bills.
16. Handles all cash and credit cards as applicable from guests' and members' charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
17. Keeps tables, dining room and bus stations clean.
18. Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
19. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
20. Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager.
21. Assists other servers in their tasks as needed.
22. Sets and resets the tables with silverware, glassware, clean linen and place-mats when necessary. Makes sure that all chairs are neatly aligned with the table.
23. Stocks the server's station with supplies.
24 Collects trash from dining room, grille room and other specified places after each serving period.
25. Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
26. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must be friendly, personable and reliable in order to provide exceptional hospitality services and have good customer communication skills.
2. Must be able to lift a tray weighing up to 20lbs.
3. Must be trained in food and beverage service.
4. Ability to take orders and properly deliver to appropriate table(s).
5. Have working knowledge or restaurant operations, service procedures and function.
6. Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
7. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of
time.
8. Be able to reach, bend stoop.
9. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
Required Certifications/Licensures: Must possess Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire.

Major (if required:
Required Experience: Six (6) months of customer service and/or fine dining is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a private club and/or resort is preferred.
