Essential Job Functions: | 1. Builds and maintains a trusted client/working relationship with internal and external NSU staff and works with Advancement Services to maintain the donor information systems. 2. Writes a variety of research documents and reports. Interprets and synthesizes large volumes of information and complex financial, legal and technical language into easily comprehensible information. 3. Proactively identifies prospective donors through the use of data screening and analysis. 4. Assists in maintenance and development of policies and procedures for the Prospect Development program. 5. Assists in the development of donor specific cultivation/solicitation strategies and the management of large team, cooperative strategy sessions. 6. Develops systems and manage the quantification and measurement of Prospect Development department output. 7. Functions as a cooperative team member working with key development officers throughout the University. 8. Anticipates and maintains the information technology needed to implement the research and prospect management plans and goals. 9. Attends community and professional events as requested by the Director to represent the University and gather information. 10. Uses information gained from profession conferences and training to redesign the research function to achieve maximum efficiency and economy. 11. Provides overall management of Prospect Development including Research, Assignments, Portfolio reviews, and workflow for staff. 12. Develops and maintain prospect management and prospect strategy. 13. Defines and coordinate what and how prospect development data is recorded in the fundraising database and secondary products. 14. Prospects data reporting and analysis. 15. Develops reports on Development Officers visits, proposals, event activities. 16. Administers internal quality control process to ensure timely, high-quality, consistent, and reliable work products, consisting of first-rate content, with accurate, and impactful information and analysis through the internal review of research products, 17. Oversees, directs, and coaches the work of members of the department assumes the responsibilities of the Director in their absence. 18. Performs other duties as assigned. |
