Essential Job Functions: 1. Leads and maintains SEO and content management systems, related databases, and SEO dashboards to support
the department’s web and digital planning needs, goals, and objectives.
2. Conceptualizes, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of the digital content strategists and writers and staff, including hiring, coaching, evaluating, and terminating.
3. Partners with NSU’s Institutional Effectiveness and Office of Innovation and Information Technology (OIIT) to understand and master use of University digital content/databases and work collaboratively with other web content owners and managers.
4. Monitors and presents high-level business data interpretation, such as identifying trends or patterns of data sets.
5. Analyzes and exports information in reports to support the department's planning, needs, goals, and objectives.
6. Oversees strategic and tactical brand initiatives focused on performance and growth in organic search.
7. Leads ongoing SEO optimization and production recommendations (including keyword research, competitive analysis, and on-page SEO recommendations).
8. Maintains brand information architecture through the coupling of audience insights with CMS functionality, SEO documentation and training, ongoing reporting and analytics, brand SEO health audits, and partnering with stakeholders to position NSU brands for SEO success.
9. Plays a key role in the development of new content vehicles. Creates, maintains, and implements messaging platforms for specific programs and their audiences as needed, in collaboration with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders across the institution.
10. Oversees and recommends data operational activities, including managing implementation, processes, trainings, and procedures of for appropriate content management across all NSU websites. Applies technical expertise to support functionality of and develop solutions for the CMS systems, reporting and analysis of CMS and SEO data.
11. Directs and manages the digital content calendar with multiple team members including web, creative, PR, social media, news, and marketing to ensure cross pollination of storytelling across multiple platforms.
12. Collaborates with functional leads and stakeholders to develop and refine processes and CMS/SEO functionalities.
13. Champions ADA compliance, QA, SEO, and web best practice to achieve optimal website health and measurable results in the digital landscape.
14. Measures, evaluates, and presents dashboards and metrics to senior leadership using appropriate KPIs for web user behavior, including analytics and heat maps, to provide ongoing website enhancements which include streamlined content, optimized IA and UX, SEO best practices, and immersive storytelling.
15. Develops, launches, and updates communications tracking methodologies using multi-channel outreach as needed for effective, competitive recruiting.
16. Designs, tests, formats, quality assures, and analyzes standard, customized, and ad hoc management reports for leadership to support emerging initiatives.
17. Assists with analysis of data and statistics and with projections.
18. Serves as the go-to team member when strong SEO and content management/integrity is needed to support different marketing initiatives.
19. Develops good internal relationships with account executives/marketing managers to understand service lines and how data can support initiatives.
20. Acts as a subject matter expert for assigned system(s).
21. Performs the project leader role for assigned project(s).
22. Identifies and evaluates industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for senior management.
23. Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
24. Develops and implements processes and reports to audit data quality, ensure accuracy, and increase productivity.
25. Ensures compliance with University and departmental policies and procedures.
26. Completes special projects as assigned.
27. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. Computers and Electronics - General knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications, programming, and/or systems configuration.

Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required): Information Technology, Digital Communications/Marketing or related field
Required Experience: 1. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in Web Communications or Marketing with six (6) to eight (8) years of related CMS programming and SEO experience in higher education administration or comparable field of work and three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a senior manager supervising staff, major projects, and budgets.
2. Experience with general SEO and CMS platform administration, database administration, and integration, focus on strategic content optimization and information architecture.
3. Must have previous experience in understanding of information architecture, search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and core SEO and ADA compliance principles.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree.
