Subject to Grant Funding?: No  
Essential Job Functions: 1. Teaches graduate classes in the counseling programs, with a focus on the Mental Health Counseling program.

2. Supervises students in mental health counseling practicum and internship field placements.

3. Engages in research and scholarship, including generating publications, professional presentations, and grant writing.

4. Provides services to the community and the counseling profession by participating in local, state, an national associations' events, conferences, and committee/board work.

5. Fulfills services responsibilities to the department, college, and university.

6. Provides advisement and mentoring to students in the counseling programs.

7. Utilizes technology in teaching and supervision.

8. Participates in preparation for accreditation (e.g., CACREP) reviews and university-level program reviews.

9. Works in collaboration with other colleagues in the Department of Counseling and in the College of Psychology and community partners.
Marginal Job Functions:  
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Familiarity with classroom management software (e.g., Canvas, GoToMeeting).
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or License-eligible as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. Doctoral degree in Counselor Education (or were full time faculty in a Counselor Education program prior to July 1, 2013) or ABD.

2. Doctoral degree must be earned and conferred by date of hire.

3. Teaching and related experience; teaching graduate-level coursework in Counselor Education preferred.

4. Provision of Clinical Supervision experience.

5. Clinical experience as a professional counselor

6. Professional identity as a counselor/counselor educator

7. Commitment to diversity and multicultural counseling competencies.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Knowledge of CACREP accreditation process.

2. Graduate from a CACREP-accredited program.

3. Maintain active professional involvement with NBCC and/or ACA

4. A commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.

5. A record of scholarship, presentations, or service at a level commensurate with experience.
