Essential Job Functions: | 1. Participates in preparation and management of research budgets and monetary disbursements. 2. Arranges for research study sites and ensures availability of staff and equipment. 3. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize recruitment practices for studies. 4. Assesses potential subjects for eligibility through screening interviews, medical record reviews, and discussions with medical staff. 5. Informs patients or caregivers about study aspects and expected outcomes. 6. Schedules subjects for appointments, procedures, or inpatient stays, following study protocols. 7. Ensures proper documentation and obtains informed consent for all subjects. 8. Monitors and tracks subject enrollment and manages dropout data. 9. Communicates with external healthcare providers and subjects to gather follow-up information. 10. Coordinates and oversees daily clinical trial activities, ensuring compliance with study protocols and timelines. 11. Manages collection, processing, storage, and transportation of study specimens. 12. Maintains research records, including case report forms and drug dispensation records, as per FDA guidelines. 13. Ensures that all study-related equipment and supplies are available and in working condition. 14. Performs other duties as required or assigned. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: | Knowledge: 1. English Language – General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. 2. Knowledge and understanding of good clinical practices (GCP) and regulatory guidelines (IRB, FDA, ICH, etc.). 3. Medicine and Dentistry – General knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative health-care measures. 4. Preferred Qualifications: | 1. Experience working with progressive neurodegenerative diseases, such as ALS. 2. Experience working on industry-sponsored trials or investigator-initiated projects. 3. SOCRA/ACRP Certification preferred; required to sit for CCRP/CCRC certification after two years of experience. |
