|Essential Job Functions:||1. Assists with overall enterprise-wide Title IX compliance efforts, including serving as designee in the absence of the Title IX Coordinator.
2. Conducts prompt, effective, and impartial investigations of reports of sexual misconduct, including sexual violence (sexual assault, dating violence, stalking) as well as sexual harassment, by University School (preK-12) student, graduate and undergraduate students, and University employees.
3. Coordinates logistics related to investigations, hearings, and resolution of cases...
4. Provides training, direction, and aid to campus partners serving as investigators or otherwise involved in resolving Title IX related matters.
5. Coordinates the training and logistics for procedural advisors.
6. Identifies and interviews relevant parties, gathers and assesses information relevant to investigations, applies relevant policies, and conducts thorough analysis of information.
7. Ensures a well-documented Title IX investigative process, concluding in the publication of comprehensive investigation reports that clearly identify the issue(s) investigated and summarize the information.
8. Provides timely updates to reporting parties, respondents, and appropriate college officials regarding the status of investigations.
9. In consultation with the Title IX Coordinator, conducts formal and informal interventions designed to respond to and prevent sexual misconduct.
10. Provides backup support to the Title IX Coordinator for incident response in compliance with VAWA/Clery, such as coordinating supportive measures, providing written rights and options, and assisting with language for campus timely warnings and crime alerts.
11. Identifies and implements best practices related to Title IX investigations and sexual misconduct prevention education.
12. Assists the Title IX Coordinator in coordinating training for university personnel involved in the response and resolution of reports of sexual misconduct, including developing materials, organizing and delivering trainings, and maintaining annual training records.
13. Designs and facilitates in-person and virtual programs, workshops, activities, trainings, and other initiatives for faculty, staff, and students.
14. Engages with campus partners and academic programs to promote Title IX awareness and compliance
15. Assists with the NSU Sexual Assault Awareness Month planning committee, a campus-wide planning team charged with providing awareness programs across NSU (including its regional campuses and online), in alignment with national themes.
16. Implements and monitors enterprise-wide primary sexual misconduct prevention programs for new employees, serving as a main administrator for online educational programs.
17. Ensures that all publications, training, programming engage diverse audiences and marginalized communities.
18. Serves as a lead administrator of the incident reporting and case management system, including assisting campus partners to maximize their system use.
19. Assists with generating reports and recommending revision(s) to relevant policies and procedures, including the Campus Annual Security Report and annual compliance report.
20. Assists with assessment of trends and climate related to sexual violence and misconduct.
21. Supervises practicum students and/or graduate students volunteering or employed to support the NSU Title IX initiatives.
22. Assists with the development of promotional materials, including updating content for the University's Title IX website.
23. Maintains employee and student data integrity, privacy, and confidentiality.
24. Completes special projects as assigned.
25. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

|Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:||1. Knowledge of and experience with issues related to sexual violence, including sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
2. Deep sensitivity to and thorough understanding of the impact of trauma on individuals who have experienced sexual and gender-based harassment and other forms of interpersonal violence, and how to evaluate signs of trauma that may present during an investigation.
3. Ability to effectively put individuals at ease and facilitate interviews with victims of sexual violence, students accused of committing sexual violence, and witnesses, to gain information during investigations.
4. Exceptional investigative and interviewing skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to think critically, evaluate credibility, analyze information, pay attention to detail, and draw defensible conclusions regarding potential policy violations.
7. Understanding of the intersection of Title IX and student conduct and student judicial procedures in higher education.
8. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply Title IX, Clery, and VAWA, and other applicable non-discrimination laws and regulations.
9. Ability to manage multiple Title IX investigations of varying complexities at one time.
10. Ability to build relationships within the university community (especially Student Conduct and Public Safety) and with local law enforcement.
11. Ability to respond tactfully and respectfully to students, parents, employees, faculty, attorneys, advocates, and other constituents and stakeholders.
12. Ability to manage complex and extremely sensitive issues with professionalism while understanding the privacy and confidentiality parameters of those issues.
13. Ability to engage with students at various stages of personal and professional development; ranging from adolescents to post-graduate professionals.
14. Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
15. Ability to conduct investigations free from bias or conflicts of interest.
16. Demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse student population with cultural competence and sensitivity, including sex, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic, gender, abilities, socio-economic status, and other frequently or historically marginalized identities.

|Required Experience:||1. Minimum five (5) years of relevant related experience, including two (2) years of experience in investigating reports of sexual misconduct, sexual violence and hostile environment.
2. Experience providing education, training, and/or outreach programming to diverse audiences.
|Preferred Qualifications:||1. Advanced degree in Psychology, Counseling, Student Affairs, Public Health, Law or related field.
2. Certificate of Completion of relevant training(s) from national or local training provider(s), such as:
A. Investigator Training through a nationally recognized organization such as ATIXA or D. Stafford & Associates
B. ASCA Gehring Academy and/or ASCA Sexual Misconduct Training Institute.
3. Experience working in student conduct administration in higher education.
4. Experience working with K-12 students.
5. Experience developing and delivering sexual misconduct prevention programs to diverse audiences.
6. Experience conducting investigations involving virtual interviews and other forms of technology.
7. Experience using Maxient software for incident reporting and case management.
