Essential Job Functions: | 1. Responds to inquiries and resolves routine problems requiring general understanding of work-area policies and procedures to ensure questions are answered and issues resolved in a timely manner. 2. Composes, edits, proofreads, and types basic documents; creates mail merges and performs mass mailings; photocopies and collates basic material to ensure timely communication and retention of documents. 3. Prepares forms and documents; verifies data for discrepancies and follows up to ensure accuracy. 4. Enters data and generates reports from NSU specific software systems i.e. room scheduling, CCD, and CRM, to ensure accurate processing and record keeping. 5. Schedules meetings/appointments/events and coordinates travel to ensure timely scheduling. 6. Submits check requests and purchases office supplies. Maintains office supplies and inventory. 7. Maintains inventory for marketing materials and promotional items. 8. Provides support to the academic departments by scheduling classrooms in university system. 9. Submits facilities work orders as needed. 10. Coordinates with security by providing weekly classroom schedules and study room schedules. 11. Coordinates or participates in promotional activities, including conferences, on-campus orientations, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, call campaigns, or special events. 12. Welcomes and assists visitors, current students, or callers and handles their inquiries or directs them to the appropriate department according to their needs. 13. Acts as a liaison to other departments (student affairs, facilities, IT, advancement, and campus departments). 14. Uses computers for various applications, such as database management, word processing, shared documents, and research assigned projects topics. 15. Operates office equipment, copiers, or phone systems and arranges for repairs when equipment malfunctions and submits work orders as requested. 16. Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters. 17. Contributes, manages, and coordinates social media for assigned campus. 18. Actively identifies and pursues opportunities to increase leasing and acts as a point of contact to the external organization. 19. Schedules/manages room assignment request for classes, meetings, video conferences and special request for external groups. 20. Prepares conference or event materials, such as flyers or invitations, and room set-up. 21. Lead/support event preparations – assess event needs, purchase necessary event items, and set-up/break-down even area. 22. Performs other duties as assigned or required. |

Writing - Basic skills in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. 7. Coordination - Basic skills in adjusting actions in relation to others' actions. Abilities: 1. Written Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information and ideas in writing so others will understand. 2. Selective Attention - The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. 3. Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Physical Requirements: 1. Static Strength - Must be able to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. 2. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). 3. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person. 4. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you. 5.
