Primary Purpose:

Nova Southeastern University's College of Psychology is seeking Adjunct Faculty members for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters degree programs. The programs are offered at NSU's main campus in Fort Lauderdale, at NSU campuses in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and also online.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Professional identity as a counselor educator.
2. Committee to the professional field of counselor education as evidenced by education, teachingcounseling experience, research, and professional affiliations, such as AMHCA, ACES and ACA.
3. Experience in teaching graduate level courses.
4. Commitment to diversity and multicultural counseling competencies.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or License Eligible

Required Education: Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education (doctoral degree must be earned and conferred by date of hire)

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: 1. Holds terminal doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited program or related profession and documented experience in the field of clinical mental health counseling

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Licensed or License-eligible as a Professional Counselor or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
2. Hold Certification or is certification-eligible with NBCC.
3. Active professional involvement with NBCC and ACA.
