Primary Purpose:

Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking Adjunct Faculty members for the M.S. in Counseling degree program, School Counseling concentration. The program is offered online with two in-person Residential Institutes and field experience requirements.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Professional identity as a counselor educator.
2. Commitment to the field of counselor education as evidenced by education, teaching counseling experience, research, and professional affiliations, such as ASCA, FSCA, and ACA.
3. Experience in teaching graduate level counseling courses.
4. Commitment to counseling competencies.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified or eligible for certification in School Counseling in the state of Florida.

Required Education: Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education or related profession (doctoral degree must be earned and conferred by date of hire)

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: 1. Certified or eligible for certification in school counseling in Florida
2. Holds terminal doctoral degree from a regionally accredited counseling program and documented experience in the field of school counseling
3. Active professional involvement with ASCA or a state affiliate of ASCA.
