Primary Purpose:

Provides general assistance in the golf shop with selling merchandise, assisting guests, taking tee-time reservations, and answering the phone.

Hiring Range: 

Pay Basis:  Hourly

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Greets members and guests according to Club standards to ensure a high quality of service.

2. Advises members and guests about attire, golf clubs and supplies, etc. to ensure understanding of rules and knowledge of products.

3. Arranges and displays golf shop inventory according to Club standards to ensure golf shop to appeal to the shopper.

4. Records all sales transactions to ensure appropriate billing.

5. Collects and records greens, cart, club and shoe rentals to ensure they are in proper area and accounted for.

6. Answers the phone and takes tee times according to Club standards.

7. Assists in unpacking inventory and preparing it for the shop according to Club standards.

8. Issues receipts for greens, cart, club and shoe rental.

9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/ managers.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must have good telephone and customer service skills.

2. Must be able to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks.

3. Must be computer literate.

4. Must be able to walk , stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of a shift [at least (8) hours].

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: 

Golf knowledge is preferred.
