Primary Purpose:
The faculty member is responsible for teaching, providing clinical supervision, and mentoring student research in the doctoral clinical psychology programs. Provides clinical supervision to practicum students, clinical services to clients, and administers psychological and neuropsychological tests.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Teaches core psychology assessment courses in the doctoral clinical programs or others as assigned. The teaching load is contingent on research productivity.
2. Maintains an active research program, including developing peer-reviewed
publications.
3. Mentors doctoral students in research.
4. Creates a climate conducive to learning.
5. Participates in department wide activities such as faculty meetings, clinical competency examinations, chairing dissertations/directed studies, etc. as assigned.
6. Contributes to appropriate NSU and College committees, and professional
associations.
7. Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
Assistant Director of Neuropsychology Assessment Clinic/Psychological Assessment Center duties:
1. Trains incoming practicum students on test battery, report writing and Psychology Services Center(PSC) paperwork; supervises practicum students on a weekly basis concerning their cases and reports.
2. Supervises student coordinators and perform chart reviews with student coordinators.
3. Supervises doctoral students, interns, or residents in clinical psychology rotating through the assessment program.
4. Assists students with writing skills and reviews intake reports; reviews and signs off on clinic paperwork and reports.
5. Works with the Director of Clinical Services/Chief Psychologist to ensure professional quality of services and training and optimal PSC operations.
6. Monitors compliance of agency policy and procedures, data collection and chart documentation.
7. Provides services to clients.
8. Maintains monthly budget/income for Neuropsychology Assessment Center/Psychology Assessment Center (NAC/PAC).
9. Orders testing equipment in coordination with Center for Psychological Studies (CPS) accounting.
10. Provides crisis clinician coverage for NAC/PAC during working hours and assist other faculty clinics as requested.
11. Works closely with the sports medicine physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers on baseline and post-concussion evaluations.
12. Oversees the neuropsychological testing and evaluation for NSU and community athletes or others experiencing a concussion.
13. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required: Clinical, counseling, or school psychology or related field
Required Experience: 1. College and/or university level teaching experience.
2. A record of scholarly publications.
3. Clinical/scholarly expertise in neuropsychology.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in teaching graduate level courses.
2. Clinical supervision experience.
3. Potential to secure external funding to support a research program.
