Primary Purpose:

Provides bag, cart and range services to members and guests. Ensures smooth pace of place on the golf course.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Brings carts from shelter to cart staging area outside the Golf Shop to ensure being prepared for members and guests.

2. Removes bags from the bag storage room and loads onto member/ guest carts to ensure availability for play.

3. Transports range balls to each end of the range and fills appropriate containers, checks golf ball supply throughout the day, and picks and washes golf balls at the end of business day to ensure range is set for all our members needs.

4. Removes bags from carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room or to valet to ensure all golf bags are in proper area and accounted for.

5. Returns carts to shelter, removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from carts and saves reusable items; washes cart with hose, dries it off, parks cart in shelter and connects charger cable to ensure carts ready for the next day/ shift.

6. Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.

7. Washes all range balls daily.

8. Removes bags from carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room or to valet.

9. Returns carts to shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from carts and saves reusable items; washes cart with hose, dries it off, parks cart in shelter and connects charger cable.

10. Observes pace of play.

11. Requests slower playing groups to speed up pace, if appropriate.

12. Escorts unauthorized people from the course.

13. Ensures that divots and ball marks are repaired.

14. Reports all infractions to Golf Shop.

15. Ensures that sand traps are raked.

16. Carries and provides clean towels and water for ball washers.

17. Replaces towels and replenishes water on ball washers.

18. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must be friendly, personable and reliable.

2. Must be able to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks.

3. Must be able to work outside.

4. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of shift [at least (8) hours].

5. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds several times throughout an 8-hour shift.

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications: 

Customer service experience.
