Primary Purpose:
This position serves as the Business Administrator I for Florida LambdaRail (FLR), a limited liability company (LLC) that owns and manages a regional operating network on behalf of the FLR's partner institutions and affiliates. The Business Administrator provides comprehensive administrative, fiscal and program support for the FLR executive office.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Prepares, examines, or analyzes accounting records, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
2. Interprets budget directives and ensures compliance.
3. Prepares purchase orders, check requests, expense reports, journal entries, and budget transfers.
4. Compiles and analyzes accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program.
5. Provides advice and/or technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
6. Seeks new ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profits.
7. Serves as a link between management, employees, and Human Resources by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
8. Interviews job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
9. Completes special projects as assigned.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:

Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required: Business, Accounting, or related field
Required Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of business administration related work.
