Primary Purpose:

Administer therapeutic and clinical services provided by the Unicorn Children's Developmental Assessment Clinic and support the child study process.

 

Job Category: Exempt

Hiring Range:  $80,000

Pay Basis:  Annually

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Provides direct services to clients including evaluation, assessment (2 weekly), and therapeutic interventions in English and Spanish.
2. Trains incoming practicum students on test battery, report writing and Psychology Services Center (PSC) paperwork, supervises practicum students on a weekly basis concerning their cases and reports.
3. Supervises doctoral students, interns, or residents in clinical psychology rotating through the Developmental Assessment Clinic.
4. Assists students with writing skills and reviews intake reports, reviews, and signs off on clinic paperwork and reports.
5. Works with the Developmental Assessment Clinic leadership to ensure professional quality of services and training and optimal clinic operations.
6. Monitors compliance of agency policy and procedures, data collection and chart documentation.
7. Assists with development and provision of a wide range of outreach, family support programs, such as workshops, seminars, etc.
8. Assists the clinic leadership with administration of any applicable grants and contracts.
9. Assists the clinic leadership with required reports to grant and contract agencies and NSU departments.
10. Assists the clinic leadership with work with the Office of Sponsored Projects and carry out any research projects as approved by the College Dean and IRB.
11. Represents the PSC/DAC/ College of Psychology at local, state, and national committees as well as on NSU committees.
12. Presents at local, state, and/or national level professional conferences.
13. Develops marketing materials, and market the DAC programs at local, state, and national conferences.
14. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to review, understand, and apply concepts presented in training programs, conferences, and/or professional literature.
2. Ability to travel to local, state, and national programs and conferences.

Required Certifications/Licensures: Florida License or License eligible.

Required Education: Doctoral Degree

Major (if required: Clinical or School Psychology

Required Experience: Two (2) years experience evaluating children for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bilingual in Spanish and English
