Primary Purpose:
The Research Fellow will participate in an ongoing anatomical research project focused on the gross and microdissection of cranial nerves within the head and neck regions.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Under the direct supervision of faculty and in collaboration with experienced former research assistants, the employee will perform detailed dissections on human specimens, assist in the preparation and maintenance of materials, and document observations and findings.
2. Assists in the conduct of research, including the collection of information and samples.
3. Analyzes and processes laboratory samples or research data.
4. Keeps detailed logs of all work-related activities.
5. Uses computers, computer-interfaced equipment, robotics or high-technology industrial applications to perform work duties as needed.
6. Assists in evaluating research methods, procedures, and techniques based on established objectives as requested.
7. May assist in report writing and/or perform library research.
8. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements: This role requires up to 20 hours of commitment per week and offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in anatomical research and scholarly contribution in a collaborative and structured research environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to fine details.
2. Willingness to work with human donor specimens in a laboratory setting.
3. Ability to follow detailed dissection protocols and maintain appropriate laboratory technique where applicable.
4. Strong observational and documentation skills, including the ability to record minute findings accurately and systematically.
5. Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Successful completion (or current enrollment) in an anatomy course or equivalent coursework.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior research or dissection experience.
