Primary Purpose:
Working under general direction, executes the daily activities for an assigned program (President’s Research Grant/QOL) and provides research administration support.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Serves as the staff liaison between faculty, business units, and the organization for the program.
2. Conducts communication with faculty including maintaining updated lists and contact information and responding to, and directing requests for, information related to the program.
3. Assists with forms and documentation, budget preparation and revisions for the program.
4. Establishes and maintains official electronic files associated with program administration and management.
5. Responds to inquiries requiring in-depth understanding of policies and procedures and resolves highly complex problems requiring information from multiple sources to ensure questions are answered and issues resolved timely.
6. Coordinates/supports OSP in a variety of pre- and post-award research administration tasks.
7. Generates reports from NSU systems to ensure information is timely available for management use.
8. Assists the OSP Director in budget management and other operational support tasks.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; database and data entry skills.

5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Information gathering and monitoring skills; including the ability to analyze data and prepare reports, while maintaining confidentiality.

8. Possesses advanced computer skills and is able to train others.
9. Ability to assist management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of experience providing administrative support, or experience managing / coordinating functions with high level external contacts.
