Primary Purpose:
Coordinates the University’s study abroad programs to include program development, student advising, outreach and promotional activities, and logistical arrangements in compliance with university policies and external regulations. It also plays a key role in risk management and supports the University’s mission to provide students with meaningful global learning opportunities.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Develops and oversees the university’s study abroad programs, global exchange and internship programs, faculty-led travel courses, faculty exchange initiatives, and the administration of the Fulbright Scholars Program.
2. Researches and evaluates potential study abroad programs by assessing their academic quality, cost-effectiveness, safety, and cultural relevance.
3. Coordinates and promotes study abroad opportunities to students and faculty through information sessions, workshops, and related events.
4. Develops marketing materials and utilizes various communication channels to reach potential participants.
5. Serves as liaison to academic and administrative offices at partner institutions, established consortia and third-party study abroad providers.
6. Builds and maintains relationships with campus stakeholders to advance study abroad initiatives and ensures compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and health and safety guidelines related to international travel.
7. Provides training, orientation, and ongoing support to faculty and students participating in study abroad and faculty-led travel programs. Ensures that visa requirements, medical documentation, and emergency procedures are completed and in place prior to departure.
8. Provides ongoing support to students while abroad, acting as a primary point of contact for any issues or emergencies.
9. Prepares reports and analyzes data related to study abroad participation and program outcomes.
10. Represents the university at campus events, as well as at national and international conferences and related events.
11. Stays informed about global issues and trends that may impact study abroad programs.
12. Oversees the Razor’s Edge Leadership Scholars Program.
13. Advises the Razor’s Edge Student Leadership Council in their program operations.
14. Conducts presentations about the Razor’s Edge program as needed.
15. Completes special projects as assigned.
16. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

1. Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and guidelines related to international travel and education.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: 1. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in international education, including administration of study abroad programs and faculty-led travel study programs.
2. Demonstrated intercultural sensitivity and awareness.
3. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in higher education
2. Proficiency in another foreign language(s).
3. Experience living, studying, or working abroad.
4. Familiarity with current trends and best practices in international education.
