Job Title: Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator - 992527 Location: Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida Work Type: Full Time with Full Benefits Job Category: Non-Exempt Hiring Range:   Pay Basis:

Subject to Grant Funding?: No   Essential Job Functions: 1. As a liaison between dentists and patients, presents treatment plans to patients and outlines financial responsibilities while adhering to protocol; records charges and payments to patient accounts.

2. Enters diagnosed treatment plans into software system and ensures accuracy of case acceptance is documented by recording accepted and arranged treatment.

3. Communicates with insurance companies to verify coverage and fee schedule and completes insurance breakdown.

4. Enters patient information into software system, ensuring that the most updated information is on file to include personal information and marketing referral sources.

5. Collects payments from patient at time of service.

6. Monitors doctor's treatment plans to schedule follow-up appointments; schedules appointments and ensures doctors' calendars are filled.

7. Ensures applicable checklists are completed and charts are maintained and filed daily.

8. Completes other projects as required.

9. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Marginal Job Functions: Travels to other NSU locations. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Solid knowledge of dental procedures, proper dental insurance codes and terminology, insurance guidelines and industry fees.

2. Savvy in presenting financials options to patients, Care-Credit, and payment plans.

3. Ability to present large treatment plans to patients with confidence and assurance.

4. Advanced communication and people skills to be able to explain and/or discuss treatment plans and fees with patients.

5. Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations.

6. Ability to maintain confidential information.

7. Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.

8. Strong organizational skills and meticulous with record keeping.

8. Professional, organized, and detailed-oriented.

10. Ability to work nights and Saturdays. Job Requirements:   Required Certifications/Licensures:   Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Major (if required):   Required Experience: 1. Minimum three (3) years' experience presenting dental treatment plans and with ADA-CDT dental procedures codes and insurance verification.

2. Experience in PPO/HMO/Medicare/Medicaid and discount plans.

3. Experience with digital and electronic dental claims. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Dental Assistant Certificate or Expanded Functions Certificate.

2. Experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, preferably with AxiUm software.

3. Experience with ADA-CDT Dental Procedures Codes.
