Primary Purpose:
The faculty member is responsible for teaching, providing clinical supervision, and mentoring student research in the doctoral clinical psychology programs. Evidence of scholarly productivity is required. A track record of, or potential to secure external funding to support research is desirable. A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational environment is essential. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Teach courses in clinical and forensic psychology in the doctoral programs in clinical psychology.
2. Maintain an active research program and develop peer-reviewed publications.
3. Mentor doctoral students in research.
4. Contribute to diversity and inclusivity in research, teaching and service.
5. Create a climate that is conducive to learning.
6. Support the mission of the College by demonstrating flexibility in meeting program needs for supervision, and/or meetings.
7. Participate in department-wide activities such as faculty meetings, chairing dissertations and directed study projects, clinical competency examinations, and other service activities as assigned.
8. Contribute expertise in the area of forensic psychology.
9. Serve and contribute to appropriate department, college, university, and national committees.
10. Maintain a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.
11. Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Dean.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Florida.
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required: Clinical, counseling psychology or related field
Required Experience: 1. University teaching experience
2. A record of scholarly publications
3. Clinical/scholarly expertise in forensic psychology
4. Experience with mental health law
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Five (5) years teaching graduate level courses in psychology or related field.
2. Supervision experience.
3. Potential to secure external funding to support a research program.
4. Board certified in forensic psychology.
