Primary Purpose:

Responsible for teaching in the Public Health Program as well as participation in grants and research development.

 

Job Category: Exempt

Hiring Range:  Commensurate with experience

Pay Basis:  Annually

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in the classroom as assigned.
2. Select teaching and evaluation strategies appropriate to the students and setting.
3. Present ideas clearly.
4. Create a climate that is conducive to learning.
5. Stimulate intellectual curiosity.
6. Provide and maintain a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation.
7. Participate in college and university wide committees and meetings.
8. Engage in curriculum and program development.
9. Maintain a personal professional development plan which must include teaching, research, scholarly activity and serve to assure growth and currency within the Public Health Field.
10. Display behavior consistent with professional ethics.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Adaptability and willingness to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned.
2. Participate in State, Local or National community service that is recognized from a career development.

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Required Education: Master's Degree

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: At least three (3) years of public health practice.
