Delivers medical expertise to support individual well-being by addressing neurological disorders and promoting sustainable lifestyle and behavioral changes that enhance long-term brain and body health.

Essential Job Functions:
Neurologist Duties:
1. Conducts initial assessments to understand clients' health history and goals.
2. Develops personalized health and wellness plans.
3. Provides regular follow-up and support to monitor clients' progress.
4. Offers nutritional guidance and motivate clients to maintain their commitment to wellness goals.
5. Educates clients on healthy lifestyle choices.
6. Collaborates with healthcare providers to align health coaching with medical advice.
7. Maintains detailed records of client interactions and progress.
8. Stays updated on the latest health and wellness research.
9. Diagnoses and treats neurological conditions based on interpretation of examination findings, histories, or test results.
10. Develops treatment plans based on diagnoses and on evaluation of factors, such as age and general health, or procedural risks and costs.
11. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
12. Performs or interprets the outcomes of procedures or diagnostic tests, such as lumbar punctures, electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction velocity tests.
13. Counsels patients on the background of neurological disorders including risk factors, genetics or environmental concerns.
Faculty Duties:
14. Teaches College of Osteopathic Medicine courses in the classroom or in small group discussion or laboratory as assigned.
15. Participates in ambulatory and hospital patient care and on call schedule.
16. Provides consultative services to college outpatient clinics.
17. Participates in small groups, laboratories, etc. as requested.
18. Provides and maintains a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation.
19. Participates in department and college wide committee meetings.
20. Engages in curriculum development related to current and new courses.
21. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching methods including lecture, discussion, collaborative learning and individualized instruction.
2. Ability to effectively present information to students, public groups, or professional organizations in the English language.
3. Ability to apply concepts to practical situations.
4. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing using the English language.
6. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and support staff at all levels.
7. Adaptability and willingness to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Terminal Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training, including research or equivalent combination of education and experience.
