Primary Purpose:
Formulates, implements, and manages the athletic sports information strategy for the publicity and promotion of Nova Southeastern University's NCAA intercollegiate athletic teams.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Manages the day-to-day functions and assigns specific responsibilities to the Athletic Sports Information staff and graduate assistants.
2. Trains staff on web content management systems, public relations strategy, PRESTO and publication software.
3. Directs, supervises, and maintains all media distribution lists and media relations plan for the Sports Information Department, while promoting NSU on a state and national level.
4. Supervises, writes, and oversees the dissemination of daily press releases and website content both as a writer and in an editorial role.
5. Maintains positive relationships with internal and external media constituents including NSU's PRMCs, local, regional, and national media outlets as well as other institution's athletic media representatives.
6. Manages the production of athletic department publications including digital media guides, schedule cards, game programs, sport posters, and coordinate publication content and deadlines.
7. Manages and maintains accurate data on the athletics website including team rosters, student-athlete bios, team statistics, coach and department information.
8. Manages and coordinates online video and audio streaming of Nova Southeastern University's athletic contests including scheduling and staffing.
9. Manages and coordinates video content for administrative, coach and student-athlete interviews, sport shows, highlight reels and video promos for video streaming productions.
10. Coordinates and compiles statistics for all sports using primarily PRESTO statistical gathering software and produce enhanced live stat views on the athletic department website for selected sporting events.
11. Assists coaches, teams, student-athletes and marketing department in covering, promoting, and publicizing all community engagement opportunities and events.
12. Delegates, plans, and coordinates photography needs and services for all athletic department requirements including team photos, headshots, event action photos, and community service photos.
13. Facilitates and manages the compilation of historical data for the purpose of creating and maintaining coach, team, and student-athlete record books within the department, the Sunshine State Conference, and the NCAA.
14. Manages and coordinates the nomination of student-athletes, coaches, and teams for weekly, preseason and postseason athletic and academic awards with the Sunshine State Conference, coaches’ organizations and NCAA.
15. Manages and implements the social media plan for Nova Southeastern University athletics.
16. Oversees and reports weekly scores and statistics to the Sunshine State Conference, coaches' organizations, and NCAA.
17. Formulates and monitors the Sports Information budget.
18. Delegates the implementation and utilization of student employment for the Sports Information Department.
19. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
