Primary Purpose:

Manages and develops high-quality educational content for faculty, students, and public outreach, as well as managing and coordinating experiential learning opportunities, including field programs in Greenland. Directs and oversees logistics for climate-related educational programs, working with travel partners, and co-leading international field experiences. This is a highly specialized position, with the goal of expanding the program to eventually support a larger team.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Develops engaging, scientifically accurate educational materials on sea level rise and climate change for faculty, students, and public outreach.
2. Creates multimedia content, written materials, and presentations for university courses, public outreach, and institutional initiatives.
3. Collaborates with faculty to integrate the latest sea level rise research into university curricula.
4. Utilizes best practices in science communication and education to make complex climate science accessible to diverse audiences.
5. Develops scientific and educational programming for field-based learning experiences in Greenland.
6. Manages relationships with travel partners and oversee all logistical planning, including accommodations, transportation, and safety protocols.
7. Co-leads field expeditions, providing expertise on climate change impacts and sea level rise in arctic regions.
8. Ensures a seamless experience for participants by handling all pre-trip preparation and on-site coordination.
9. Supervises subordinate staff.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. Advanced knowledge of sea level rise, climate science, and related environmental issues.

Skills:
1. Proven experience in program coordination, event planning, and logistics management.
2. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Abilities:
1. Strong ability to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging educational materials.
2. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, researchers, and external partners.

Required Certifications/Licensures: 

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Major (if required: Marine , Environmental , Climate science or related field.

Required Experience: 1. Experience leading field-based educational programs, preferably in remote or international settings.
2. Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in scientific research, climate education, science communication, or related fields.
3. Experience in developing curriculum and educational materials for higher education.
