Primary Purpose:

Provides speech services to preschool children and serves as a member of staffing teams.

Job Category: Exempt

Hiring Range: 

Pay Basis:  Annually

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Provides direct and indirect speech and language services to preschool children. Emphasis/expertise should be in the area of autism-spectrum disorders.

2. Provides speech and language consultation services to teachers and parents/guardians of preschool children.

3. Participates in child study meetings.

4. Participates in FSP and IEP staffing.

5. Conducts initial and continuous diagnostic procedures for children at the Baudhuin Preschool.

6. Participates and/or conducts workshops and trainings both in the school and in the community at large.

7. Maintains ongoing compliance with Broward county policies for children at the Baudhuin Preschool.

8. Submits clinical reports in a timely manner.

9. Assists with curriculum development for children at the Baudhuin Preschool.

10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: 1. Certificate of Clinical Competence or within clinical fellowship year.

2. Florida Speech-Language Pathology license.

Required Education: Master's Degree

Required Experience: None

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Member of FLASHA.

2. Experience working with children with Autism or related disabilities.

3. Experience with utilizing augmentative devices.
