Job Title: Temporary Cook 111 Location: Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida Work Type: Temporary Job Category:   Hiring Range:   Pay Basis: Hourly   Subject to Grant Funding?: No   Essential Job Functions: 1. Prepares food items according to the Chef’s specifications and recipes to ensure orders are timely.

2. Evaluates cooking methods, times and temperature to ensure

3. Sets up and prepares station area to ensure line is ready for orders at least 15 minutes prior to service time.

4. Prepares food according to Chef’s specifications and recipes to ensure appealing and accurate presentation.

5. Restocks food items throughout the shift to ensure availability at all times.

6. Exhibits knowledge of operating kitchen equipment to ensure equipment is used correctly and safely.

7. Uses product labeling system to label and date, using F.I.F.O method for all raw and prepped food products to ensure only the freshest products are used.

8. Ensures that assigned work areas are equipment

9. Performs related duties as assigned. Marginal Job Functions: 1. Maintains a neat and professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times.
2. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas.
3. Follows and enforces the hygiene and safety standard set by the Public Health Dept.


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must be friendly, personable and reliable, professional communication are required.
2. Must have problem solving abilities, be self motivated and organized.
3. Must exhibit commitment to Food and Beverage and quality service.
4. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for a duration of an (8) hour shift.
Job Requirements:   Required Certifications/Licensures: Food Handler certification Required Education: Technical/Specialized Training (Culinary) Major (if required): Culinary Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in the culinary department at a private club and/or resort setting is preferred
