Essential Job Functions: | 1. Works closely with the college's administration to develop and implement strategies that align the alumni outreach and corporate relationship efforts with the overall strategic mission of the college. 2. Builds and sustains strategic relationships with alumni, businesses, key stakeholders and other external constituencies of the college. 3. Represents the college at all alumni related and related committee meetings and events. 4. Helps identify and oversee the college's nominations/representatives for NSU university wide programs for alumni and college excellence, such as Celebration of excellence, Distinguished alumni and STUEY awards. 5. Conducts 75 personal visits with alumni for the purpose of determining interest in the college, opportunities for internships and student learning, interest in serving on committees and speaking, and interest and capacity for giving. 6. Improves overall alumni engagement for the college. 7. Works with the dean and other college partners to provide regular communications with college alumni, and with specialized communication and outreach to alumni donors. 8. Organizes regular programs, events, seminars and experiences for alumni that enhance their career, provide insight on emerging issues, engage thought leaders on trends and interact with students. 9. Develops mentoring program for alumni and students. 10. Works regularly with career center, admissions, athletics, and other appropriate NSU departments on outreach, programming, and engagement. 11. Maintains updated lists and communication with the college's distinguished alumni, alumni donors and prominent alumni in their fields. 12. Provides leadership and direction for student engagement. Alumni with student alumni association for Alumni Relations. 13. Designs, produces and distributes printed materials, has an alumni website. 14. Meets annual fundraising metrics as assigned. 15. Performs other duties as assigned or required. |
Marginal Job Functions: | 1. Maintains currency in issues in Higher Education and Higher Ed Marketing workshops, conferences, Webinars, etc. 2. Maintains currency in news and event calendar on the College web site. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: | Knowledge: 1. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. 2. Communications and Media - General knowledge of media production, visual, verbal, and interactive communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via written, oral, and visual media. 3. Digital Media - General knowledge of digital media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via digital, web, and social media. 4. Marketing - General knowledge of principles and methods for describing and promoting programs and services in order to achieve desired outcomes. 5. Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction. 6. General knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 7.
