Subject to Grant Funding?: No  
Essential Job Functions: 1. Teaches graduate level courses in the counseling programs.

2. Supervises counseling students in practicum and internship field placements.

3. Engages in research and scholarship which includes publications, professional presentations, and seeking external funding.

4. Provides service to the community and the counseling profession by participating in local, state, and national associations' events, conferences, and committee/board work.

5. Fulfills service responsibilities to the department, college, and university.

6. Provides advisement and mentoring to students in the counseling programs.

7. Utilizes technology in teaching and supervision.

8. Participates in preparation for accreditation (e.g., CACREP, CAEP) reviews and university-level program reviews.

9 .Works in collaboration with other colleagues in the Department of Counseling and in the College of Psychology and community partners.

Marginal Job Functions:  
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Familiarity with classroom management software (e.g. Canvas, Zoom, LiveText)
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed or license eligible as a licensed mental health counselor in Florida
Required Education: Doctoral Degree
Major (if required): Doctoral degree in Counseling Education or related CACREP-accredited program
Required Experience: 1. Experience teaching graduate-level coursework in Counselor Education.

2. Experience using instructional technology.

3. Provision of Clinical Supervision experience.

4. Clinical experience as a professional counselor.

5. Research experience and/or a record of scholarly publications.

6. Leadership and engagement in relevant professional counseling organization.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Certification or eligible for certification with NBCC.
2. Knowledge of accreditation processes (e.g., CACREP, CAEP).
3. Effective leadership.
