Essential Job Functions: 1. Follows departmental guidelines on customer service to ensure quality customer service is provided to internal and external stakeholders.

2. Directs, trains, and schedules staff to ensure daily operational objectives are efficiently met.

3. Reviews emergency messages sent to the NSU community to ensure timely notification of threats and hazards.

4. Programs and troubleshoots access control systems to ensure proper access of NSU properties.

5. Coordinates equipment inspections to ensure electronic infrastructure is working.

6. Observes and reports any incident, condition or situation that could negatively affect the NSU community to function in the most productive manner.

7. Assists in investigations of incidents through review of camera surveillance and telephone recording system.

8. Coordinates the placing of fire systems on test so that fire drills can be conducted.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Special Requirements:
Must be able to work any day and on any shift. Including nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of bending, sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.

2. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures: 1. Have or obtain current Florida Driver's License with no more than THREE (3) points.

2. Have or obtain current Florida "D" Security Officer License within first six months of employment.
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: One (1) or more years of Public Safety, Customer Service, Security, Police, or Military experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Previous dispatch center experience.

2. Typing more than 30 words per minute.

3. Previous surveillance control experience.

4. Previous electronic access control experience.

5. Previous alarm monitoring experience.
