Essential Job Functions: | 1. Teaches within the Health Science Department Cardiovascular Sonography (CVS) program. 2. Supervises student research in the CVS MHSc program. 3. Engages in research, publications, and other scholarly activities. 4. Presents ideas clearly. 5. Creates a climate that is conducive to learning. 6. Provides and maintains a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation, and consultation. 7. Participates in department, college-wide, and university-wide committees and meetings. 8. Engages in curriculum development related to current and new courses. 9. Possesses working knowledge of statistics 10. Maintains a personal professional development plan, which may include research or other creative activities, to assure growth and currency within the academic field. 11. Displays behavior consistent with professional ethics. 12. Selects teaching and evaluation strategies appropriate to the students and setting. 13. Adaptability and willingness to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned. 14. Participates in state and/or local community service that is a recognized form of career development. 15. Mentors and/or orients new faculty as assigned. |

Ability to effectively present information to students, public groups, or professional organizations in the English language. 3. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. 6. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). |
Job Requirements: | |
Required Certifications/Licensures: | ARDMS registered in cardiac or vascular. |
Required Education: | Bachelor's Degree |
Major (if required): | |
Required Experience: | 1. Five (5) years of related experience and/or training, including research; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Experience in a clinical, research, or academic health care, medical, or health professions education environment is required. 3. Must obtain a Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization within three years of employment. 4. Doctoral degree in appropriate area of specialization to be completed within seven (7) years of employment or within seven (7) years after obtaining a Master's degree. |
Preferred Qualifications: | 1. Prefer additional registry in vascular technology (RVT or RVS). 2. Master's Degree in related area of specialization. |
