Essential Job Functions: 1. Schedules and manages appointments for veterans with healthcare providers.
2. Acts as a primary point of contact for veterans, aids and supports in navigating healthcare systems and services.
3. Verifies that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate prior to veterans' appointments.
4. Coordinates with veterans to obtain missing information or documentation.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
6. Completes special projects as assigned

Marginal Job Functions: 1. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
2. Assists supervisors, faculty and students in special projects as required.
3. Attends meetings/additional trainings as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
2. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
3. Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: High School Diploma and two (2) years of customer service / administrative experience in an office environment.
--OR--
Associate's Degree and one (1) year of customer service / administrative experience in an office
environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Bilingual: Spanish/English; Creole Haitian/English.
2. Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
