Essential Job Functions: 1. Directs and oversees the administrative and academic coordination of the Speech-Language Pathology programs (bachelors, master's and doctorate). Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff, including hiring, coaching, evaluating, and terminating.
2. Consults with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure the institution's conformance with applicable standards.
3. Represents institution and/or assigned program(s) at community and campus events, in meetings with other institution personnel, and during accreditation processes.
4. Assists in activities required for program accreditation.
5. Reviews operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
6. Assists in making necessary modifications to operational policies and procedures based on analysis of operations, demographics, and other research information.
7. Assesses program quality, presents results, and makes recommendations to management.
8. Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
9. Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
10. Participates in budget preparation and reporting for assigned program(s).
11. Prepares special ad hoc reports / summaries by selecting relevant information from a variety of sources and designed to satisfy inquiries.
12. Collaborates with faculty and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs and in the preparation of master schedules for curriculum offerings.
13. In coordination with the Department Chair and Program Directors, determines course schedules, and coordinates teaching assignments and room assignments to ensure optimum use of buildings and equipment.
14. Participates in the recruiting, selection, assignment, scheduling, and/or evaluation of adjunct faculty.
15. Provides orientation to and resolves issues for program's adjunct faculty.
16. Manages and monitors adjunct contracts and payments.
17. Facilitates preliminary and qualifying exams as needed.
18. Coordinates test administration and outcome reporting as needed.
19. Acts as liaison between students, faculty, and college and university departments.
20. Directs the planning and execution of orientation for new program students as needed.
21. Counsels students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration. May conduct exit interviews for student withdrawals.
22. Facilitates student grievance and discipline processes as needed.
23. Establishes contracts with employers or institutions to create experiential learning opportunities such as internships, practicums, and/or employment opportunities for students. Monitors contracts and affiliation agreements to ensure compliance.
24. Acts as liaison between the University, college, and contracted employers or institutions.
25. Oversees or coordinates the recruiting, selection, training, assignment, scheduling, supervision, and/or evaluation of internship supervisors.
26. Reviews and approves program internship or practicum applications as needed.
27. Coordinates student participation in experiential learning programs, such as internships, practicums, clerkships, or residencies as needed.
28. Plans and promotes career and employment-related programs and events, such as career planning presentations, licensing workshops, work experience programs, job fairs, and career workshops as needed.
29. Compiles, maintains, analyzes, and prepares reports on data related to activities such as student engagement and retention, academic progress, experiential learning, and/or career success.
30. Assists marketing with program development via establishment of corporate relationships, and interaction with potential students at inquiry stage via orientations and other meetings as needed.
31. Assists marketing with program development via attendance at college events conducive to the recruiting and enrollment of potential students as needed.
32. Assists with alumni tracking and communication activities.
33. Assists in planning special events & Continuing Education functions.
34. Coordinates the production and dissemination of university publications, such as course catalogs and class schedules.
35. Maintains or monitors departmental and/or program websites.
36. Assists in the recruitment, selection, and supervision of student employees and graduate assistants.
37. Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.
38. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.
39. Completes special projects as assigned.
40. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

1. Administration and Management - Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and/or coordination of people and resources.
