Essential Job Functions: | 1. Communicates with representatives from various institutional units (i.e., Office of Sponsored Program, Grants Accounting, Human Resources, etc.), community agencies, and funding agencies on project-related matters including resource allocation, budgeting, staffing, contractual affiliations, and other administrative issues. 2. Provides direction, input, and oversight in the design, development, and implementation of data protocols and systems designed to monitor project outputs and evaluate outcomes as related to the training of health professions students, residents and health care providers, and the delivery of other project services. 3. Participates in the preparation and submission of data and progress reports to the institution, external funding agencies, and other stakeholders. 4. Monitors compliance with institutional policies as well as contractual agreements with funding agencies and sub-recipients/subcontractors to ensure project activities are being conducted as planned. 5. Initiates and/or oversees financial transactions, including requests for payment to subcontracts, procurements and other expenditures. Ensures that expenditures are necessary, reasonable, allocable, and allowable according to established budgets and pursuant to guidelines set forth by NSU and funding agencies. 6. Communicates regularly with project staff and conducts visits to project sites to assess the allocation of project-related resources, proposes recommendations to resolve administrative deficiencies as needed, and provides the appropriate leadership and follow-up necessary to achieve desired outcomes. 7. Advises the Associate Dean and project directors on opportunities for program expansion and improvement, as well as on budgetary and other administrative issues to ensure that intended program goals and objectives are achieved. 8. Ensures that all project-related documentation and budgets are maintained and updated regularly. 9. Performs other duties as assigned or required. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: | 1. Ability to organize and follow through on key components of program development, implementation and evaluation of project activities. 2. Ability to manage and monitor financial resources. 3. Practical knowledge of research methodologies, data collection, and statistical analysis. 4. Ability to analyze facts, exercise judgment, and arrive at valid conclusions. 5. Proficient skills in the use of MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. 6. Strong verbal and presentation skills, particular in public settings. 7. Ability to develop reports, educational materials and other documents. 8. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and support staff at all levels. 9. Ability to work well with various internal and external stakeholders. 10. Ability to function in an academic setting. 11. Able and willing to travel (<20% of time) throughout the state of Florida. |
