Essential Job Functions: Faculty Responsibilities:

1. Teaches five (5) courses or activity equivalents in mathematics and statistics courses per year in various formats as necessary (on-campus days, on-campus evenings, off-campus, online, etc.).
2. Participates in curriculum and/or program development, as assigned.
3. Be accessible to students, according to College guidelines; maintains regular office hours for student advising and consultation.
4. Conducts scholarship/research activities.
5. Serves and contributes to appropriate college and university committees.
6. Provides community service and participates in university, college and departmental functions that contribute to campus life, such as athletic events, orientations, receptions, commencements, etc.
7. Attends meetings as required.
8. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Schedules mathematics and statistics classes at both the graduate level and the junior and senior undergraduate level. Oversees the scope and sequence of courses in these programs.
2. Oversees scheduling, syllabi, and laboratory supplies including computers and technology for any mathematics facility or laboratory space of our own.
3. Develops, ensures the approval of, and grows and assesses the MS in Applied Statistics.
4. Develops a statistical consulting center within the college and oversees the creation of a space/laboratory which will serve as the hub for this center. Mentors the graduate and undergraduate students who will man the center which will work closely with the other HCAS departments and the statistical consulting needed for students in their graduate programs.
5. Completes and performs pertinent math adjunct faculty evaluations and grades.
6. Evaluates, screens, and recommends math adjunct faculty for on and off-campus classes.
7. Prepares reports (ASLO, ASPIRE, IRC, etc.) as required by the University.
8. Reviews student grievances, change of grade forms, and concurrent enrollments in mathematics and statistics.
9. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
