Hiring Range: $17.58 per hour/$34,300.00 annually
Pay Basis:

Subject to Grant Funding?: No  
Essential Job Functions: 1. Participates in the development and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures.

2. Performs quality control review of incoming student records in various NSU software systems.

3. Works in conjunction with the undergraduate academic advisors regarding credit transfers and test scores.

4. Accepts TSE Department’s emails and phone calls and responds, or routes inquires timely and correctly.
5. Assists current students with transfer credit issues.

6. Participates and assists with commencement ceremonies.

7. Completes data entry for incoming test scores for new incoming undergraduate students.

8. Completes projects as assigned.

9. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. Travels to and participates in job related meetings, conferences and workshops.

2. Provides assistance to ESS and senior management regarding special project and assignments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:
1. Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
2. Customer and Personal Service - Comprehensive knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Skills:
1. Complex Problem Solving – Proficient skills in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
2. Active Listening - Proficient skills in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
3. Speaking – Proficient skills in talking to others to convey information effectively.
4. Critical Thinking – Proficient skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
5. Self-Direction - Proficient skills in motivating oneself to work independently, as well as working well within teams.

Abilities:
1. Ability to work flexible hours in the evenings, weekends, and school closures, as necessary.
2. Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, regarding student employment.
3. Oral and Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking or writing so others will understand.
4. Multi-Tasking - The ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously without error.
5. Detail Oriented - The ability to pay attention to details, and understand underlying cause/effect relationships.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
1. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.
2. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
3. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
4. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
5. May be required to work nights or weekends.
6. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
7. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards.

Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: High School Diploma
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience in an office setting.
2. Experience working with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associate degree or 60 academic college credits
2. Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience in higher education,
3. Experience working with Banner, Recruit, and Image Director.
