Job Title: Temporary - Advancement Services Associate **Internal to department**

Essential Job Functions: 1. Acts as a subject matter expert for assigned system(s).

2. Develops and runs reports in Access from the Banner Advancement module.

3. Inputs journal entries for department.

4. Creates and tracks all service manager tickets in relation to telecom.

5. Maintains emergency contact list for department.

6. Maintains department website including the training of new staff.

7. Serves as Public Safety and Facilities liaison.

8. Works with other areas such as Enrollment and Student Services and Alumni Affairs to ensure that alumni records are properly updated in Banner.

9. Generates lists, and reports from the system to support development, special events, public affairs, publications, and alumni affairs.

10. Gathers data pertaining to customer needs, and uses the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.

11. Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

12. Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.

13. Reviews workflow charts to understand tasks computer will perform, such as updating records.

14. Modifies existing databases and database management systems or directs programmers and analysts to make changes.

15. Directs daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.

16. Oversees the daily performance of assigned computer system(s).

17. Specifies users and user access levels for each segment of database.

18. Operates spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports.

19. Retrieves, separates and sorts program output as needed, and sends data to specified users.

20. Develops and implements processes and reports to audit data quality, ensure accuracy, and increase productivity.

21. Develops training materials and procedures, and trains users in the proper use of hardware or software.

22. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.

23. Completes special projects as assigned.

24. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Physical Requirements:
1. Near Vision - Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
2. Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person.
3. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you.
4. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
5. May be required to work nights or weekends.
6. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
7. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, mobile devices, and computer keyboards.

Required Experience: Associate’s degree and four (4) to six (6) years of experience in the field or closely related area,

Bachelor's degree and two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the field or closely related area.
