Subject to Grant Funding?: No  
Essential Job Functions: 1. Provides guidance to students on various study skills and strategies for learning.
2. Provides curricular support to all degree programs at the COM.
3. Engages and supports the COM in curriculum and program development.
4. Conducts assessment of curriculum, student achievement and learning technologies on regular basis and presents to COM administrators and faculty.
5. Researches current trends and new technologies in health care education to advise and counsel faculty within the COM for purposes of curricular design, modification and implementation.
6. Presents ideas clearly.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions: 1. Participates in regional and/or professional accreditation activities.
2. Participates in COM and/or college wide initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Must be able to adapt and be willing to teach courses and/or perform special duties as assigned.
2. Participate in state and/or local community service that is recognized from a career development aspect.
3. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Job Requirements:  
Required Certifications/Licensures:  
Required Education: Masters Degree
Major (if required):  
Required Experience: 1. Five (5) years of related experience and/or training including research or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Excellence in teaching, including on line teaching.
3. Demonstrated experience in curricular and program design, development, and implementation.
4. Experience in curricular planning, faculty development, instructional design and evaluation.
5. Experience in medical education, research and grant writing.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Terminal Degree in Education or related field or a clinical doctorate degree from an accredited institution with demonstrated experience in the health professions.
2. Experience in a medical school or other health professional setting.
