Primary Purpose:

Supports staff in the development, coordination, and implementation of programs and curriculum for the Baudhuin Preschool.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Coaches teachers and aides in program development and implementation that promote the general program philosophy.

2. Works with the Director on curriculum that meets the needs of the students, teachers, and volunteers.

3. Develops, coordinates, and implements a spectrum of programs to support teachers, parents, and students.

4. Supports the Director in the daily activities of the Preschool.

5. Interviews and assists in the selection of teacher aides.

6. Assigns, teaches, supervises, and evaluates teacher aides.

7. Assists in the training and evaluation of teachers.

8. Coordinates meetings with teacher aides.

9. Advises the Director of Baudhuin of any concerns related to students, parents, or any related services.

10. Observes the operation of each classroom on a weekly basis with written and verbal feedback submitted to the Director of the Baudhuin Preschool.

11. Participates in meetings with the Director of the Baudhuin Preschool.

12. Assists in the selection and ordering of curriculum materials.

13. Works with the parents of the children enrolled in the Preschool.

14. Coordinates special events.

15. Plans and participates in in-service activities.

16. Conducts morning rounds.

17. Presents at professional conferences.

18. Participates in public relations and marketing campaigns.

19. Participates in research.

20. Registers for the 45-hour training classes within the first 90 days of employment and complete such trainings within first year of employment.

21. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Florida Teacher Certification

Required Education: Master's Degree

Major (if required: 

Required Experience: 1. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in working with and/or teaching children with autism and related disabilities.

2. Experience in working with behavioral intervention.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Doctoral degree in Education, Psychology or related field.
