Subject to Grant Funding?: No   Essential Job Functions: 1. Participates in curricular development by identifying surgical content for didactic courses in the 1st and 2nd year program.
2. Provides examination questions on a timely basis for lectures provided.
3. Explores research potentials, during initial contract year, with expectations of developing future research activities conducted by members of the department.
Chair of Surgery Duties
4. Oversees the operational management of the department and supervise the faculty in the department.
5. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Marginal Job Functions: 1. Interacts with faculty, staff and students and assist them when necessary.
2. Maintains work area clean and professional in appearance at all times. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Incumbent must have the ability to perform many tasks in a relatively short period of time.
2. Proficiency in computer skills ,ie. Microsoft Office. E-mail, etc.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and faculty matters.
4. Ability to prioritize and organize numerous and varied assignments.
5. Excellent communication skills necessary.
