Primary Purpose:
Assists in supporting the university's centralized and decentralized fundraising operation by working with Information Systems and Prospect Development to anticipate and maintain the department's needs; proactively seeking solutions and improvements that improve efficiency and reducing cost; and functioning as a member of the university fundraising team through identifying connections that facilitate solicitation strategy.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains a focused, proactive approach to data entry.
2. Reviews operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made to increase production and reduce data entry time.
3. Identifies new ways to ensure accurate data management and record accuracy.
4. Develops new techniques for report management and distribution.
5. Develops and maintains comprehensive research profiles files on constituent’s in hard copy and in electronic format.
6. Maintains a system for ongoing update of information and communication of same.
7. Compiles data in various formats as needed by staff and volunteers.
8. Functions as a cooperative team member working with key development officers throughout the university.
9. At the direction of the Associate Director, anticipates and maintains the information technology needed to implement plans and goals.
10. Attends community and professional events as requested by the Department to represent the university and gather information.
11. Uses information gained from other employees and other sources to redesign and achieve maximum efficiency.
12. Process data into NSU Systems.
13. Maintains office materials to ensure smooth office operations.
14. Other Duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Ability to main confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
2. Research/library/analytical skills, including the ability to use on-line research tools.
3. Independent judgment and initiative.
4. Very strong technical and computer skills.
5. Excellent written/oral/interpersonal communication skills.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Associate's Degree or 60 College credits
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Two (2) years experience in the Advancement, Non-Profit, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
